No long diatriabe required, just 3 simple quesitons:
- Does anyone honestly expect that Canada can do away with its divisive multiculturalism policy when this is the reward for trying to assimilate?
- This story took place in Calgary and was covered by Calgary media. It is well known that this type of activity happens all the time in Montreal and Toronto – why isn’t it more publicized in central Canada?
- Don’t Canadians regularly attribute this type of behaviour to Americans?
This type of discussion tends to invite little more than weak justifications for demographic exclusion (ie terrorism threats, crime waves) and denial that the problem is widespread. The response to both camps is simple: if Canadians are unwilling to take steps to preserve the liberty of law-abiding people here in Canada, then our society has little business trying to “impart” it abroad. It’s about principle, not political correctness.
