The moderator is in fact writing a book about Obama, but with all the scrutiny received her moderating was unremarkable.  She was nowhere close to being as good as Steve Paikin (Canada) though.  I like that guy - CBC needs to hire him back and hire more like him.</description>

When I get a quiet moment, I&#039;ll try watching the video. I understand the American moderator had a conflict of interest involving a book she&#039;s written deifying Obama (book release date set to coincide with Obama&#039;s inauguration) and, according to a right-wing friend in the States, her moderation left a bit to be desired.

I was very happy with the moderator in the Canadian debate. He was fair, didn&#039;t ask leading questions and tried to give each person an opportunity to respond.</description>
